Hello Helena,

my name is Hana and I´m going to study at the University of Minho from September 2014 to February 2015 together with my friend Pavla. We would like to know which type of accomodation is the best. University´s accommodation or some private accommodation? What is cheaper? How much money would be, for example, a flat with two rooms (or one room), kitchen and bathroom? We will be pleased if you give us some advice:)

Hi :)

First welcome to the university! In the dormes you don't have kitchen, only have microwaves, but you also have canteen open night and day, also have a lot of places to eat. I am not sure, but i will ask my friend , i think you have time to enter in the dormmes, but  you have nice conditions.

I don't know the price but i will ask my friend and then you can choose. 

If you rent a place, you can share with other people. And also in the university , they will help do that.

Thanks a lot for the welcome and for these informations. I realy appreciate that. It would be wonderful if you ask your friend:) I have one more question for now... In the dormes there isn´t any kitchen for preparation my own meals? I mean kitchen for all building or maybe each floor, not for each room.

the dormmes, have meals and things for you eat and clean the plates and stuff, but i don't know how they "cook", but  i will ask , i only go there a few times.

I think we can help each other :) I am from Turkey, Istanbul. I am going to study at Minho University at September. I would like to know how is Braga. During the winter how is the weather conditionals? And I really want to know Is Braga safe city for example at nights? I am going to study at Political Sciences. How is Minho University are you happy? Teachers, atmosphere? And whom I may contact at International Office? I know, I ask too many questions sorry about that! :) You can ask me anything about Turkey or İzmir I would love to answer that :) Thank you!

Hi :)

It is normal that you a lot of questions :) the weather is braga is a lot of hot until November , then became really cold, and sometimes it rains :/

You don't anything to worry about, Braga is one of the safe cities in the country, i have a lot of Erasmus in my classes and they tell me that feel more safe in here than they hometown. But of course you have to have precautions, like don't go home alone that night. And stuff like that :) well my classes are most in English, i really don't how that class are because i am from a different course. But when are erasmus students the teacher speaks always in english.

By the way, welcome to the best university in the country i really hope to enjoy that like I you.

Hi :) 

when are erasmus students most of the classes are in english. But you can scearch the unit that you will take and see if the class are in eglish or not !

Hi erasmus students! Hi Elena!

I,m Blanca Prieto, from Badajoz, Spain. I,m going to study de full year in University do Minho, in Braga, with the erasmus program and with a girl of the same city as mine. We were looking for share a flat, preferably with foreign or portuguese people, to improve our knwoledge of english and portuguese but we don,t know wich are the best places to live... I know some neighborhoods, but we need concret adresses and postcodes to speak with the real-state agencies. How priority we want to live near to the university and the center, but if it is impossible, we prefer to live in the center more than in the university.If somebody knows about a flat that is going to get free for the next academic course, contact with us!Finally, I tried to find the subjects program in the Univesity do Minho website and I can,t find that (What are the subjets about, how many topics each subject has...)Thanks for all, your help for us is really important!

Hi!! I'm Spanish Erasmus and i need roommates and floor for the next year , i'm stay ten times in Braga .  My english is horrible and this the reason because i need live with no spanish people.

Ah i forget   I did find a flat but I think it is far from the university (30 min) and do not know if it will be worth, these photos 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 640 euros per month (water, light and electricity)

I and my friend Pavla are going to study at UMinho from September 2014 to February 2015. I would like to know something more about your offer. How many people will live together here? The rent 640 Euros is wiht or without water, light and electricity? Are bedrooms with equipment ( I mean 4 bedroom=4 beds)? Are you in Braga now or you are going to arive yet? I know I have a lot of questions :) but we need to know as much as possible because we are afraid of looking for a flat in foreign country:) We are PhD students of biology at the University of Ostrava, Czech Republic. I think we are friendly and we are like fun:) We don´t speak spanish and now we learn a litlle portuguese. So our main language for speaking in Braga will be english:)

Hi! I am Miren, from Bilbao (Spain), and I am going to study SOCIOLOGY at the university of Minho from september to february!

I would be interested on sharing a flat with another students, I don´t mind if they are sociology students or not. I am a bit lost... I don´t know nobody who is going to study to Braga, I don´t have a place to live....

I'm looking for portugues's class or other courses, I want learn portugués. and I also want to meet people to other countries and to improve my english level.
