At the FU, you can follow a free german course whole semester :-) (not if you're a beginner)

but we get the semester ticket around the second week of october! i don't know if it's worth to get one monthly ticket...

Hi all. :) I will be in Berlin in two weeks. There I will do research for my Phd thesis and stay in Studentendorf Schlachtensee. Can you offer me an intensive and cheap German course?

Try to get some info with the university in which you're gonna do your research!
(If you're not a beginner, the FU offers free German courses during the whole semester)

hi guys i'm in Berlin now! I arrived in Berlin one week ago!someone want to hang out? I heard that the next Wednesday there is a boat party here in Berlin... So it could be maybe a nice plan...

Here is the information about it:
The Boat Party*
Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 19:00:00

--in partnership with the institute for cultural diplomacy--

The Boat Party is this Wednesday, October 12th, on the ship Eastern Comfort with mixing cultures and languages and live music on the Spree. The weekly language/international party brings together people of all ages from everywhere, and is known for its friendly ambience where it's easy to meet and talk with people in a variety of languages--I help with arranging language partners. Come early for that. The party starts at 7pm with my 5-star hummus. The Entry is one Euro until 8:30pm, after that two Euros (the extra Euro to pay the band). ERASMUS students (with valid ID) get in free.

This week from Ireland the aptly named Sunbeams, playing everything from the Beatles to Radiohead, Nirvana, U2 and Kings of Leon, with a few Irish folk classics thrown in too. Their concert will begin around 10pm.

Last week in the early darkness the boat filled up quickly for an inside-outside party of over 140 people. It's hard to come in from the water for the autumn. A good night to speak English, Portuguese, Chinese, German, Spanish, Italian, Polish, French, Norwegian, Farsi, Russian, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Lithuanian, Slovokian, Finnish, Czech and Hebrew in the mingling.

See you on the boat-

Directions:
The ship is a 5-10 minute walk from Warschauerstr. U-Bahn/S-Bahn/Tram down Warschauerstr. toward the Oberbaumbrücke. Just before the bridge turn right onto Mühlenstr., and the Eastern Comfort entrance is about 100 meters down the street (Mühlenstr. 73, Berlin, 10243) near the beginning of the Eastside Gallery. On the ship, the lounge is on the 2nd floor. See you there.
