What is it like to live in Athens? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Athens is a very lifefull city that I whould totally recommend to someone to visit. It's a city that never sleeps and you can always find something interesting and new to do.

What is the student lifestyle like in Athens?

A typical day for a student in Athens starts with his morning lesson which is very usual to miss the first corse :P . Then we usually hang out in coffee shops. We can stay for hours there talking and playing games. And of course you can't stay in later. A club, a bar, a pub or even a gathering in someone's house is how a typical student spends his nights.

How much does it cost to live in Athens?

The accommodetion and graceries are not too expensive. I guess you spend more for your nights out.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Athens? Is there any advice you can give?

No it is not difficult. There are a lot of sites you can visit.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is just too good! It's mandatory to try 'souvlaki' and also the traditional meals which you can find in taverns all over the city.

What places would you recommend visiting in Athens?

You have to visit the archaeological parts of the city which are everywhere and you can miss it.

Is it good to eat out in Athens? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

You can find a place to eat at every corner of the city. You can find very good souvlaki in Kandavlos at Gazi(Keramikos).

Is the nightlife good in Athens? Where is good to go?

It is kind of crazy! The big fuss is in Gazi (Keramikos) but you can find and more quiet places in Monastiraki, Thiseio, Plaka and Agias Eirinis Square.

What advice would you give future students heading to Athens?

Be prepared for a lot of fun. Be open to other students, we are very social. And definitely try to visit an island or two!
