What is it like to live in Athens? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Athens remains a great city and a must-do for culture buffs. Despite the current crisis Athens has a pretty busy nightlife. The new urban-chic bars and restaurants in Monastiraki and Syntagma are my favorites! Apart from raffic congestion contemporary Athens has alot to offer.

What is the student lifestyle like in Athens?

Athens is a big city with many different things to do. Bars, music scenes, events, outdoors activities and of course sightseing are a few of your everyday options.

How much does it cost to live in Athens?

if you are a foreigner you 'll find the prices very reasonable

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Athens? Is there any advice you can give?

I can not really give any advice on this matter

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

the food is delicious! The Mediterranean diet is a modern nutritional recommendation originally inspired by the dietary patterns of Greece and Southern Italy. This diet include proportionally high consumption of olive oil, unrefined cereals, fruits, and vegetables, moderate to high consumption of fish, moderate consumption of dairy mostly cheese and yogurt.Also moderate wine consumption. you must try : Dakos, a Cretan salad ,Kalamata olives,Kakavia, soup made from any variety of small local fish with the bones removed before serving,Briám: an oven-baked ratatouille of summer vegetables, Gemista, baked stuffed vegetables,Kokkinisto- stew, Gyros, Musakas.
