What is it like to live in Ankara? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

City is so cold and people who live in city are colder than city, they hate foreigners and facism is so common, even if shop keepers knows that you are foreigner try to sell everything in 2 or 3 times of real prices, people in Ankara don't want to rent their homes to foreigner, at all I don't suggest anyone to come to Ankara.

What is the student lifestyle like in Ankara?

SO SO SO SO BORING
opposite to wearing style of people, harsh way of Islamic thinking is govern to people who live in Turkey, but if you are restricted Muslim be sure that you can find friends in mosques.
In one of areas of Ankara named "Altindag" everyday you can hear voice of shout guns and there is a great Bazar of DRUG TRAFFICKERS and selling drugs are so common there, I suggest you don't go there because once I saw a child with AK47 Gun who shot to sky, and there is no police to help anyone

How much does it cost to live in Ankara?

You pay for European life but live in a country similar to Yemen or Afganistan

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Ankara? Is there any advice you can give?

Finding accommodation in Ankara is one of hardest jobs in world, Because of Islamic Believes and strange culture they don't rent flats to singles and foreigners...

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Most of foods are made by meat here there is so many kinds of meat foods and tasteless pastry, I recommend to eat canned foods or make your own food.

What places would you recommend visiting in Ankara?

just try to spend your days in dormitory there is some bars to waste your money

Is it good to eat out in Ankara? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

it cost so expensive to reach out, my favourite spot is to have barbecue in balcony

Is the nightlife good in Ankara? Where is good to go?

actually there is no nightlife there is no place just you can go to bars and drink or to show saloon and always you will see fighting in show saloons

What advice would you give future students heading to Ankara?

Please don't waste your live in Ankara, even professors of universities hate foreigners because of this If you want come to turkey I suggest you to go to METU university which foreigners are more acceptable than another universities, if you have any problems there is no one to help you, Turkish people are live with this statement(Ne Mutlu Türküm Diyene) that means I am so Happy of being turkish and they repeat this statement from their first days of school and methods of education made them real strange and cold people who hate foreigners.
Uh I forget a thing to tell you, If you are a female, here in turkey Males will be so kind with you because here being virgin is so critical for girls to marry in future and eventually Males looking for not virgin people... and if you don't believe any of my opinions come and try, it is really easy to come to turkey, doors of turkey are open to world come on don't waste your time...
