What is it like to live in Amsterdam? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

The sounds of the trams, cars, all the people on the bicycles, the narrow streets with the canals and the remarkable architecture, even the smell and the atmosphere.. Different faces, different nationalities, different cultures everywhere. Amsterdam is a place where you actually can feel life. The best time to visit Amsterdam is definitely around Christmas, when the city is lightened up with all the magical Christmas decorations and during the summer when you enjoy cycling through the streets or when you lie on the green in the Vondelpark enjoying the nature. You can discover Amsterdam every day and it will never get monotonous. I travel a lot, but there is no place that gives me the same feeling as Amsterdam.
